V Power is an indoor-cycling dashboard. It has no accounts, collects no personal information, contains no ads or analytics, and sends nothing to the developer or to any third party.

1. What the app handles

Fitness and health data

While connected to Bluetooth sensors, the app reads cadence, power and heart rate in real time and derives resistance, elapsed time, average power and calories. These values live in memory only and are gone when the ride ends — nothing is written to a database or a file.

Device and network data

• The names and signal strengths of nearby Bluetooth devices, used only to show the scan list and connect to the crank you choose.
• Your station ID and paired crank name, saved in the phone's local app settings so they persist between sessions.

What it does not handle

The app does not collect location. Android 10 and earlier require the location permission for any Bluetooth scan, so the app declares it with android:maxSdkVersion="30", but never reads or records your position. It does not access contacts, photos, files, the microphone or the camera.

2. Data transmission

When you switch on Data Broadcast yourself, the app sends the current cadence, power, heart rate, resistance and station ID over UDP to a scoring host on the same local Wi-Fi network, operated by your gym or class organiser, for live ranking and team assignment.

• This traffic stays on the local network. It does not travel over the internet, and the developer cannot receive or read it.
• The feature is off by default and can be switched off at any time from the dashboard.
• How the scoring host retains that data is the responsibility of the venue operating it and is outside this policy. Please ask the venue about their practices.

Apart from the above, nothing leaves your phone. No data is sold, used for advertising, or used for behavioural analytics.

3. Permissions

• Nearby devices / Bluetooth — to find and connect cranks, trainers and heart-rate straps.
• Location (Android 11 and below) — required by the system for Bluetooth scanning; location itself is never used.
• Network access — solely for the local-network broadcast described above.

4. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

5. Your control

All data is on your device. Turning off Data Broadcast stops all outbound traffic; uninstalling the app removes the station ID and pairing settings with it.
